The Paddenswick Tea Gardens, in Ravenscourt Park
Situated in Ravenscourt Park, next to the beautiful Hammersmith Community Gardens, the café sits in what used to be the Old Saddlery, which belonged to a large medieval manor house ‘Palingswick Manor’ that once stood in the park.
We opened in 2023 after giving this lovely building a light refresh, but we will be carrying out more renovations on the interior in the future to really make this special place the wonderful meeting spot it deserves to be. In particular, there is a wonderful upstairs room still with the old horse tack hanging area, which would make a brilliant extension to the current seating space. We are working closely with the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham as well as the Hammersmith Community gardens, to make this happen.
The café is currently serving a full range of artisan coffee, hot drinks ice-cream and hot brunch and lunch items and has a lovely large terrace at the front with seating and lots of space for kids and furry friends.
Ravenscourt Park
The park is also home to the new Ravenscourt Park glasshouse, which opened earlier this year following a fundraising drive by Hammersmith Community Gardens Association (HCGA), supported by H&F Council.
